CargoTurk is a cargo firm founded in 2002. It
operates in Turkey with its widespread dealers located in various cities. As a
new firm it is faced with high competition and a market where product
lifecycles are becoming ever shorter and last but not least, expectations in
respect of quality and flexibility are rising continually.
As a way of meeting these market requirements, cargoTurk needed a solution to
integrate its dealers into its corporate processes and hosting, maintenance and
operation services of this solution. cargoTurk decided to outsource its IT
system in order to decrease IT operation costs and focus its core business and
get a competitive advantage at the market. |

cargoTurk chose VeriPark for its dealer integration
application's development, hosting, maintenance and operation services.
VeriPark developed cargoTurk dealer integration application on .NET
architecture with its product Datex which is a solution that enables
institutions to execute their business processes integrated with their dealers
and business partners via internet. cargoTurk defines price lists, routes,
clients and monitor cargo status, invoices and proposal operations of its
dealers and dealers receives cargo orders, execute delivery and billing
operations over VeriPark infrastructure. Messaging module of the application
provides easy and fast communication between cargoTurk and its dealers.
Customer complaint registrations, news and announcement publishment and
delivery of text files are done by messaging module.
VeriPark built IT infrastructure as a highly scalable and flexible system as
cargoTurk has been going through an enlargement process and increasing number
of its dealers. The application and database reside on VeriPark server and a
client application runs on dealers' computers. Dealers can work in offline mode
where they complete data exchange after the connection is resumed. Client
application running on dealer computer updates its program version automaticly
with BIT (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) property. Program version
updates are only installed to the server and client applications are updated
automaticly by the application.
Outsourcing its IT system operation to VeriPark enables cargoTurk to focus its
core business, decrease its IT operation costs and resource allocation and
create value added services for its customers.
