What you will be doing
- Oversight of Development: Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and alignment with company objectives.
- Innovation Leadership: Investigate and introduce cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, ensuring our development team is always ahead of the curve.
- Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance to developers, nurturing skills, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Process Enhancement: Streamline and refine existing processes, or introduce new methodologies to boost efficiency, collaboration, and product quality.
- Code Quality Assurance: Advocate for and implement rigorous code review processes and other quality assurance measures.
- Team Building: Play an active role in hiring, onboarding, and building a cohesive, high-performing development team.
- Strategy Development: Assist in long-term technology strategy planning, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and technological relevance.
What we are looking for
- 15+ years of experience in software development, with the last 5 years in leadership roles, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computers or related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, fostering cooperation and positive work relationships.
- Understanding of the industry and organization-specific resource requirements, project complexities, and timelines.
- Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge in software development, including current technologies, architectures, and best practices.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Visionary Thinking: Ability to see the bigger picture and strategize accordingly.
- Continuous Learning: Passion for staying updated with the latest in technology and development practices.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven capability to navigate challenges and come up with effective solutions.
