Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

What you will be doing

• Develops clean and efficient test cases to develop application quality using Microsoft Devops.  
• Executes manual test cases and develops traceability matrix.  Report test results, defects root causes and changes made to the software application, to ensure that the delivered project quality level and condition.  
• Performs regression, functional, integration, system testing 
• Maintains test cases and accordingly, makes a regression test execution to ensure they continue to meet the project's requirements and function as intended. 
• Regression, and support User Acceptance Testing (undertaken by subject matter experts situated within the business) 
• Performs Bug Tracking and Gatekeeping activities. Test the applications to ensure they meet the project's requirements and are free of errors. 
• Targets ‘Zero UAT defects’ that the delivered software application to the customer. Takes responsibility and initiative in the job's decision-making and implementation phases. Collects information, analyzes data, reaches a result, and gives the quality level of application based on objective quality metrics. 
• Works without supervision on complex projects 
• Monitors, measures, control, and reports to management on test progress, product quality, test results, and test completion 
• Participates in daily stand-up meetings, defect triage calls 
• Collaborates with team members. Works closely with analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure that the software application is delivered on time and meets the quality targets. 
• Supports tests lead to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies 
• Coaches and mentors Associate QA (Quality Assurance) staff 

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of relevant working experience  
• Banking and Financial application test experience will be preferred 
• Bachelor's degree BE or BTech., or ME or MS degree - Computer Science or Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering 
• ISTQB certification will be preferred 
• Experience about software Testing Concepts, STLC and SDLC 
• Experience with methods, tools, and technology used in software testing  
• Has expertise and knowledge on black box test techniques 
• Has expertise knowledge on test case execution, test case preparation 
• Experience in Web and Mobile Functional Testing. 
• Ability to search logs or crash reports to help isolate and identify the root cause of issues 
• Knowledge of web service testing and ability to design and prepare service integration test case 
• Hands-on experience with SQL query language and scripting 
• Has practical knowledge of using developer tools (JavaScript Debug/Chrome/Firefox/etc...) 
• Experience with automation testing is a plus 
• Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem solving 
• Demonstrated interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals 
• Fluent in writing and speaking English 
• Excellent communication skills are essential for Quality Assurance Specialists to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
