Tru Cooperative Bank first in Canada to launch VeriPark’s next-generation commercial digital banking experience
October 27, 2026
We're happy to announce that Tru Cooperative Bank has become the first financial institution in Canada to go live with VeriPark’s new commercial digital banking experience powered by VeriChannel, marking the latest step in the development of an advanced digital banking product designed to give Canadian credit unions capabilities rivaling those of the largest banks.
The commercial banking product launch follows Tru’s rollout of VeriPark digital banking to its retail members in May. Tru’s members can now access the new platform across both personal and business banking.
VeriPark developed the platform in collaboration with Canadian credit unions, combining VeriPark’s global VeriChannel platform with a dedicated Canadian product shaped around the vision of participating institutions. Credit unions benefit from shared development while retaining the flexibility to differentiate their own digital banking experiences.
This is an important moment not just for Tru Cooperative Bank, but for what we believe cooperative financial institutions in Canada can accomplish together,” said Darrell Jaggers, Chief Transformation & Information Officer, Tru Cooperative Bank. “We set out to create a modern digital banking product built around the needs and aspirations of Canadian credit unions, rather than solving the same challenges independently, and that vision has become real.
“For credit unions considering what comes next for their digital banking experience, there is now a Canadian solution operating in market,” adds Jaggers.
Early feedback from Tru’s commercial members migrating to the product has been positive. Members are enjoying a more personalized banking experience with expanded self-service capabilities, better visibility with balance and security alerts, and enhanced control over delegate access. Tru is adding more features in the coming days, including wires, account sweeping and a dedicated mobile app for enterprises.
Financial institutions around the world are looking to modernize digital banking in ways that reinforce what makes them distinctive,” said David Dervish, Chief Revenue Officer, VeriPark. “This launch demonstrates how our global platform can adapt to local market needs. Tru’s commercial banking deployment is an important milestone in our investment in Canada and shows how shared development can bring broader capabilities to cooperative financial institutions.
Tru has played a key role in shaping the commercial banking product around the everyday needs of Canadian business members,” said Selim Hasan, Vice President of Sales, VeriPark. “With commercial now live alongside retail banking, other Canadian credit unions can see in practice what this shared approach delivers. They can build on the work already done, help shape what comes next, and tailor the experience to their own members.
The launch extends the collaborative model behind the solution. Participating institutions contribute requirements and lessons learned to the continued development of a common Canadian product, while retaining their individual identities and the ability to develop additional capabilities.
“Going first means learning first, and sharing those lessons is part of the commitment we made to this group,” added Darrell Jaggers. “The opportunity now is bigger than any one credit union. It’s to keep improving a common product that can become stronger as more Canadian credit unions participate.”
